Improper Cleaning Can Cause Bearing Burns

The so-called cleaning test is a test method to separate the impurities in the rolling bearing and measure the rolling bearing in some way. The current cleanliness testing methods have the following contents: quality test, microscope counting test, and automatic particle counting test.

  One: Quality method testing.

According to the relevant standards of JB/T 150-2005, the impurities in the rolling bearing are first cleaned into the cleaning liquid, and the mass of the impurity particles is calculated after filtering, drying, weighing, and weighing.

  Two: Microscopy.

The previous steps of the method and the quality method are similar, and when filtering the clean fluid, the size and amount of impurity particles in the filter membrane are directly filtered. In addition, the chemical composition and the content of impurities can also be judged from the shape of the impurities. This method is most suitable for determining SKF-bearing precision bearing cleanliness.

  Three: automatic particle counting test.

The automatic particle counting method is different from the mass method, and the microscope method is a method that uses the theory of the photoelectric principle to directly measure the quantity and amplitude of impurity particles. This method is relatively high and generally suitable for rolling bearings with high cleanliness requirements.

The state of bearing burn damage refers to the raceway wheel, rolling element, and a cage of the bearing heating up rapidly during rotation until discoloration, softening, welding and damage. The main reason for bearing burns is due to poor lubrication of rolling bearings, the use of irregular lubricants, or too much or too little lubricant, which are all incorrect.

It could also be too loaded and too fast. There is water or another foreign matter intrusion. If the above two cases are not the shaft, the accuracy of the bearing housing is poor, and the deflection of the shaft is large. Seeing this, I think everyone wants to know the solution, first to research lubricants and lubrication methods, choose rolling bearing lubricants, and correct the choice of bearings. The study should be collaborative, bearing clearance and preload, and improved sealing arrangements. Check the accuracy of the shaft and bearing housing.
